A ceramic compression cone is especially resistant to temperature and absorbs vibrations. After fixing in place, a permanent connection is established and the compression cone cannot be used again. Compared to a stainless steel compression cone, there is no permanent connection between ceramic and the sheathing thermocouple. A new compression cone can be used in the compression-type fitting and the sheathing thermocouple can be used again.
